Keep it short, specific, and warm. Use texts to set up experiences — not to replace them.
1) Playful tease (harmless, specific)
Tease one tiny, true detail — then invite him in.
“You totally look like a ‘best burger in town’ guy. Pick the spot and I’m in.”
Why it works: Light tease + choice = momentum.
2) Callback + curiosity
Reference a shared moment and open a loop.
“Your jazz bar rec still lives rent-free in my head. Got a round 2 idea?”
Why it works: Nostalgia fuels warmth; question invites leadership.
3) Two-option invite (you set the ‘what’)
Give him agency to lead; you make it easy to say yes.
“Wednesday works — rooftop or tacos? Your call, I’ll bring the sarcasm.”
Rules that keep it flirty (not needy)
- Short beats long: Space for him to lean in.
- Invite beats interrogate: Choices, not quizzes.
- Reward initiative: Appreciate when he plans/acts.
If he’s slow to respond
Mirror pace. Re-invite once a few days later with a clear, low-pressure prompt. If inconsistency continues, keep standards high and step back.
